Biography

NFL CAREER – A fifth round draft choice in 2024, Spencer Rattler has gained valuable experience in his first two years as a pro, appearing in 16 games with 14 starts. He has completed 304-of-485 passes for 2,903 yards with 12 touchdowns and ten interceptions. Rattler has also showed his dual threat ability for the Black and Gold, adding 49 carries for 313 yards (6.4 avg) across his first two campaigns. The Phoenix, Ariz. native will look to continue his development in the quarterback room in the offseason and in training camp entering year three.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Signed to a four-year contract, 5/9/24; Selected in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

2025 – Appeared in nine contests with eight starts, completing 174-of-257 passes (club-best 67.7 pct.) with eight touchdowns and five interceptions. Also added 31 rushes for 167 yards…Vs. Arizona, Sept. 7, finished 27-of-46 passing for 214 yards to go with 29 yards on the ground…Vs. Chargers, Oct. 27, finished 12-of-24 with 156 yards…Relieved Jake Haener in second half vs. Washington, Dec. 15, adding 135 yards passing and a touchdown…At Green Bay, Dec. 23, posted 15-of-30 passing for 153 yards and an interception, with five carries for 28 yards…Finished 20-of-36 with 218 yards passing with a score, while adding three carries for 46 yards rushing, including a season-long 28-yard run vs. Las Vegas, Dec. 29…In finale at Tampa Bay, 1/5/25, recorded 240 yards through the air on 26-of-42 attempts and a touchdown.

COLLEGE – In five seasons at Oklahoma (2019-21) and South Carolina (2022-23), Rattler completed 900-of-1,313 passes (68.5 pct.) for 10,807 yards with 77 touchdowns and only 32 interceptions. Despite playing only two seasons in Garnet & Black, finished his Gamecock career first in school history in completion percentage (67.5), fifth in completions (523) and passing yards (6,212) and ninth in TD passes (37)...In 2023, selected as a team captain and a co-winner of the Team MVP in his final season. Started all 12 games. Completed 275-of-399 passes (68.9 pct.) for 3,186 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Ranked fifth in the SEC and 27th in the NCAA in passing yards with the third-highest single-season total in Gamecocks history. Averaged 265.5 yards passing per game, third in the SEC and 22nd in the nation. Set school single-season record for completions (275) and completion percentage (68.9).
