Scott Kuhn enters his third season with the New Orleans Saints as director of football administration and his 25th season in an NFL front office, possessing extensive experience in college and pro scouting and analytics.
                   
                  
                    Kuhn came to the Saints after spending 16 seasons as a member of the player personnel staff of the Minnesota Vikings. In the 2022 campaign, he was promoted to director of football quantitative methods/pro scout, where he oversaw research analysis and project development while also continuing in a pro scout role, which he held since first joining the organization in 2007. From 2016-21, he served as director of analytics/pro scout.
                   
                  
                    During his Vikings tenure, Kuhn most recently worked with Minnesota's scouting, football, medical and strength and conditioning staffs on special projects. He served as the club's primary analyst on draft history, roster construction and player performance. Kuhn directed football analysis for game play and team tendencies along with coordinating XY (Zebra) data analysis. Kuhn also worked with the Vikings information technology department to build user interfaces based on analytics discovery.
                   
                  
                    Prior to his tenure in Minnesota, Kuhn worked with the Miami Dolphins as college scouting coordinator for his final five seasons of a six-year tenure with the club after joining them in 2000 as a player personnel intern.
                   
                  
                    A 1997 graduate of Kansas State, Kuhn holds a degree in anthropology. He is a native of Topeka, Kansas, where he attended Hayden Catholic High School. Kuhn and his wife Rita have two children, Alex and Julia.
