Ben Stollberg is entering his 12th season with the Saints and fifth as Director of Sports Medicine after serving as Assistant Head Athletic Trainer from 2019-20 and Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2014-18.
Prior to his arrival in New Orleans at the start of the 2014 regular season, Stollberg served as an assistant athletic trainer at Mississippi State from 2011-14, where he worked with the Bulldogs football and women's tennis programs. In 2014, he received the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association's Backbone Award, which recognizes an outstanding assistant athletic trainer in the region.
Stollberg earned a master's degree in kinesiology from LSU in 2011, where he served as a graduate assistant from 2009-11, working with the football and men's and women's track & field/cross country programs. He graduated from Marquette University in 2009 with a bachelor of health sciences degree in athletic training.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society. Stollberg is certified in Active Release Techniques and is a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
