The New Orleans Saintsations wanted to stick to their Louisiana roots with this year's 16-month swimsuit calendar and adopted the theme of Sportsman's Paradise. All of the photos featured in the calendar were shot in Lafitte, New Orleans and St. Tammany Parish by photographer Bert Burr. The calendar also features a pull-out poster of the entire team.

"We shot over 1,500 pictures," said Lesslee Fitzmorris, president of St. All-Star and manager of the Saintsations. "It's really hard to determine what girl is going to look good in what bathing suit and in what location. It's really a creative process. We wanted to show the state of Louisiana. Sportsman's Paradise is the theme that not only includes hunting and fishing but football and other sports as well."

Christine, a Saintsation rookie, from Scranton, Pa., is featured on the cover.

"It feels amazing. I'm still shaking. I'm so excited. I just wanted to stare at the screen and just keep staring at it and take it all in. It feels awesome," Christine said Wednesday night at the team's annual Swimsuit Calendar Unveiling at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

Christine said she is feeling a whirl of emotions as she anticipates taking the field for the first time in black and gold when the Saints play host to the Kansas City Chiefs at 7 p.m. in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Friday. "This is my first year, my rookie season, so I don't know what to expect but I think I'm in for a really fun and exciting time."

The calendar unveiling began with food and refreshments at 6 p.m. and was hosted by Jennifer Hale of WVUE-8 and Michael Lewis, New Orleans Saints team ambassador.

"I think that tonight is really an important night not only for the Saints but for our city," Fitzmorris said. "We are showcasing the finest young women who represent our community."

After the presentation, the more than 350 guests received a copy of the 2014 calendar and had the opportunity to meet the members of the team.

Proceeds from the event went to the third annual "Spirit Award," a scholarship fund created to help high school students wishing to continue their education and dance career at the collegiate level.

Cox Sports Television will be airing a special behind the scenes show "Behind the Calendar: Saintsations Paradise" on Friday from 5:30-6 p.m.
