Getting to New York
Fans can travel to New York City by flying into John F Kennedy International or LaGuardia which are both in Queens. A direct flight from New Orleans to New York is about three hours from take-off to touch down.
John F Kennedy International
Once you've arrived at John F Kennedy it is recommended that you take a taxi or rideshare program to your desired location. Public transportation through AirTrain is available if fans would like to connect with a subway for $2.75, maps and more information can be found here. If you'd like to take an app-based rideshare program, head outside of baggage claim on the arrivals level, this is where your ride will pick you up. From JFK to Times Square the rate starts at $35 but is subject to change depending on the time and end location. With 10 rental car companies at JFK, taking a rental car is also an option. LaGuardia
Once you've arrived at LaGuardia you can choose to hail a cab, take an app-based rideshare program, take public transportation, or hire a car service. Signs will guide you to the taxi stand where there is always an attending there to help you find a cab. If you choose to hire a car service, LaGuardia recommends Carmel Car & Limo Service or Dial 7 Car and Limo Service.
Taking public transportation is an option, but only recommended for those who do not have a lot of luggage and do not mind walking. Please note there are several flights of stairs that you will encounter. Travelers must first purchase a Metrocard - If you're not planning on using the subway and buses during the rest of your rip, purchase one card and put enough money on it for each person in your party to travel to and from the airport. Then leave the terminal and look for the Q70 Limited (LTD) Bus Stop and wait for the bus to show up. If you can't find it, ask someone. An app-based rideshare program is also a great way to get from place to place. Travelers can head outside from arrivals or baggage claim, this is where your driver will pick you up. Terminal B pickups between 6am-10pm are made from a nearby lot. Once you're ready, request a ride and follow signs to 'Pick Up 11B' on the outer lane of the arrivals level. Board the "Green Route" shuttle, which will take you to the pickup lot to meet your driver. If you're arriving at Terminal B after 10pm, please make your way to the Departures (upper) level. Once you're ready, request a ride in your app and your driver will meet you curbside. Fares from LaGuardia can be as low as $22 but are subject to change due to time and end destination.
Getting to Met Life Stadium
Driving to Met Life Stadium is relatively simple once you're on the New Jersey Turnpike or Route 3, but it is recommended that fans print out directions from their start location or use their GPS to find the best route. Fans that drive should be aware that a pre-paid parking permit is required to park at the stadium (refer to Parking at Met Life Stadium). There are also two public transportation options. Your first option is to take the Coach USA "351 Meadowlands Express. The bus leaves from 41st street between 8th and 9th Avenues and not from a gate inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal. You can buy tickets inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal for a $10 round trip cost, but there is also an operator selling tickets on the street near the bus. Getting out of the stadium isn't bad as the bus has direct access to leaving the Meadowlands Sports Complex and each bus leaves as soon as it's full.
The second option is to take New Jersey Transit. A train service runs from Hoboken to the Meadowlands starting three and a half hours before the game starts and for one to two hours after the game ends.
Those in Manhattan can either travel from Penn Station and connect in Secaucus Junction or take the PATH to Hoboken and get on the train there. The round trip cost of the train is $10.50 for an adult and $4.50 for a child or a senior. Just be prepared to wait for a while when leaving the stadium after the game as there's usually a line to board and a train won't leave until it's full.
If fans choose to take an app-based rideshare program to the stadium, they will be dropped off in Lot E off West Peripheral Road. When leaving the stadium, the lot can be found by exiting the Verizon entrance.
Parking at Met Life Stadium
For NFL Gamedays, parking permits are required for all vehicles entering the Sports Complex. For New York Football Giants games, guests may purchase a pre-paid permit via the Ticketmaster NFL Ticket Exchange. Guests without prepaid permits may also park at the off-site lot located at 20 Murray Hill Parkway, East Rutherford, NJ 07073 for $40. Shuttle service will be provided to and from MetLife Stadium. Tailgating
Tailgating will be permitted in the parking lots with the exception of the parking deck that is located next to the Arena.
