Getting to Detroit
Fans can travel to Detroit by flying into Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). A direct flight from New Orleans to Detroit is about two and a half hours from take-off to touch down. Fans looking to drive to Detroit should expect to be on the road for about 16 hours.

Once you've arrived at DTW there are several forms of transportation to make the trip to Detroit including: taxis, limousine services, shuttles, and app-based rideshare services. All ground transportation services – including rental car agencies, taxi and limousine services are located on the lower level of the terminal building adjacent to baggage claim.
App-based rideshare programs such as Uber and Lyft are available and range in price depending on the size of the vehicle requested.
Getting to Ford Field
The city of Detroit offers public transportation in the form of a bus stystem, DDOT. Fans looking to take the bus to Ford Field on gameday should look at the DDOT website to ensure they are taking the correct route. Fans can also drive to the stadium. Routes to Ford Field can be found here.
Parking at Ford Field
Parking facilities adjacent to Ford Field and Comerica Park are available during games and events on a first come, first serve basis. Access to parking facilities is generally four hours prior to kick-off. Vehicles will be directed into spaces and reserving spaces is not allowed. Tailgating Policies
The Detroit Lions have an official tailgate area before games. The tailgate starts at 10:30 AM on Brush Street with bars, beverage tents, music, Detroit food trucks and exciting interactive fan games. Admission is free.
