Biography

NFL CAREER – This versatile, hard-hitting, playmaking safety and South Louisiana native returned to his home state after signing with the Black and Gold during the 2025 offseason as an unrestricted free agent. After being selected by the Houston Texans in the third round (68th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Stanford, the former Dutchtown High School standout has played in 121 career regular season games with 117 starts in eight seasons with the Texans (2018-21), Kansas City Chiefs (2022-24) and Saints (2025), recording 637 tackles (449 solo), 25 stops for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, with two returned for touchdowns, 52 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 15 special teams stops and one blocked kick. Reid has also started all 13 postseason contests he has played in and recorded 79 tackles (58 solo), four stops for a loss, 1.5 sacks and five pass breakups, playing for two Super Bowl champion squads as a member of the Chiefs.
