Biography

NFL CAREER – Since being selected by the Saints in the third round (67th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, Alvin Kamara has emerged as one of the most explosive and versatile offensive weapons in the NFL, earning All-Pro honors in 2017 and 2020 and five consecutive Pro Bowl selections (2017-21). Kamara started all 11 games he appeared in, totaling 131 carries for 471 yards and a touchdown and 33 receptions for 186 yards. He is the Saints all-time leader in rushing yards (7,250), rushing touchdowns (61), total touchdowns (87), total yards from scrimmage (12,198), all-purpose yardage (12,856) and first downs (601). His 606 career receptions rank second in club records and fifth all-time among NFL running backs. Kamara is also the franchise's all-time postseason rushing leader with 93 carries for 357 yards and three touchdowns, adding 33 receptions for 274 yards and a scoring grab. Since coming into the NFL in 2017, Kamara ranks third in the league in yards from scrimmage, one of three players to have 12,000 over that span. Kamara is the third player since 2000 with at least 1,100 scrimmage yards in each of his first eight seasons, joining Matt Forte and Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDanian Tomlinson.
