Biography
NFL CAREER – Since being selected by the Saints in the third round (67th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, Alvin Kamara has emerged as one of the most explosive and versatile offensive weapons in the NFL, earning All-Pro honors in 2017 and 2020 and five consecutive Pro Bowl selections (2017-21). Kamara started all 11 games he appeared in, totaling 131 carries for 471 yards and a touchdown and 33 receptions for 186 yards. He is the Saints all-time leader in rushing yards (7,250), rushing touchdowns (61), total touchdowns (87), total yards from scrimmage (12,198), all-purpose yardage (12,856) and first downs (601). His 606 career receptions rank second in club records and fifth all-time among NFL running backs. Kamara is also the franchise's all-time postseason rushing leader with 93 carries for 357 yards and three touchdowns, adding 33 receptions for 274 yards and a scoring grab. Since coming into the NFL in 2017, Kamara ranks third in the league in yards from scrimmage, one of three players to have 12,000 over that span. Kamara is the third player since 2000 with at least 1,100 scrimmage yards in each of his first eight seasons, joining Matt Forte and Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDanian Tomlinson.

Added in 57 receptions for 490 yards for 1,387 yards from scrimmage (leading team for second consecutive season). This was Kamara's sixth straight year with at least 1,300 yards from scrimmage, the first player to accomplish this feat since Julio Jones (2014-19). It was Kamara's sixth career game with at least 100 rushing yards and his career-best third of 2021. 2020 – Played in 15 regular season games with ten starts and became the second Saint to lead the team in both rushing and receiving as he carried 187 times for 932 yards (5.0 avg.) with a franchise-record 16 touchdown runs, caught a team-best and career-high 83 receptions, which led NFL running backs, for 756 yards (9.1 avg.) with five touchdowns, leading the NFL with a franchise-record 21 touchdowns. Became only running back in NFL records with at least 80 receptions in each of his first four seasons. Also ranked second in the league with 93 first downs and third with a career-best 1,688 total yards from scrimmage. In two postseason contests, carried 41 times for 184 yards with one touchdown and also caught five passes for 37 yards…In NFC Divisional Playoff vs. Tampa Bay, 1/17/21, started and carried 18 times for 85 yards and caught three passes for 20 yards…In NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Chicago, 1/10/21, carried 23 times for 99 yards with a TD and caught two passes for 17 yards for career-playoff best 116 yards from scrimmage…Vs. With 1,330 total yards from scrimmage, Kamara became the first Saint to reach 1,300 in each of his first three seasons and joined Deuce McAllister (2002-04) as only the second Saint to reach the milestone in three straight campaigns. In NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Minnesota, 1/5/20, added seven carries for 21 yards and one TD and eight receptions for 34 yards…In opener vs. Houston, Sept. 9, started and finished with 169 yards from scrimmage, leading team with 97 yards on 13 carries and 72 yards on seven receptions…At L.A.
