Rain drenches Raymond James Stadium ahead of Saints-Buccaneers game

At 9:30 a.m. field was covered by tarp

Tampa, Fla. - The field at Raymond James Stadium is covered by a tarp as a rainstorm blankets the area at 9:30 a.m. central, 2.5 hours ahead of the scheduled kick off for the New Orleans Saints-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

The National Weather Service forecast has the rain tapering off closer to the noon kickoff but the chance of rain and thunderstorms remains for Sunday afternoon.

The Saints (10-2) can clinch the NFC South division title with a win Sunday while the Buccaneers (5-7) are trying to stay in the race for a wild-card spot.
