New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is on the doorstep of history. This season the longtime Saints quarterback likely will become the NFL's all-time passing leader, will throw his 500th regular-season touchdown pass and will become the NFL's all-time completions leader.
In recognition of these pending accomplishments, NewOrleansSaints.com is launching a nine-part video series on the life and football career of No. 9. Tuesday's episode takes you back the beginning of Brees' career, at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. The episode will post at 8 p.m. Tuesday on NewOrleansSaints.com, the team app presented by Verizon, our Twitter page, our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. The remaining eight episodes will be released every Tuesday at 8 p.m. through Oct. 9.
Following the completion of the series we will release a long-form version of A Champion's Journey on all of our distribution channels. We hope you enjoy our attempt at telling the story of the remarkable Drew Brees.
