Mekiah is excited to be working with the Saints Cheer Krewe and Saints organization for the first time this season.Â
Mekiah's love for dance started at the early age of 3. She began dancing at Peggy's Dance Studio in Zachary, Louisiana. She continued studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Lyrical until she graduated in 2018. There she had numerous performance, competition, and workshop opportunities, which paved the way for her professional dance career.
After graduating high school, Mekiah attended Louisiana State University on a dance scholarship, where she was a part of the very competitive LSU Tiger girls dance team for 3 years.
Mekiah has been teaching the art of dance at Legacy FX studios in Zachary, Louisiana since 2019. Mekiah has led Legacy FX to 4 National Championships in the past 3 years at the UDA Allstar Nation Dance Championship. She enjoys watching children succeed in life with the gift of dance.
