Saints players talk about win over Buccaneers

Cam Jordan, Mark Ingram, Jairus Byrd spoke about win over Bucs

DE Cameron Jordan
(On the game) "We talked about what we needed to do to win today. We didn't know if the muscle hamster was
going to play. We did our job."
(On missing Jameis Winston a couple of times) "I missed him once or twice. We did the job today as a defense
and we were able to get a lot of pressure on him."
(On not making the Pro Bowl) "I'm just a regular defensive end. I'm just working hard like everybody else."
(On if he has a chip on his shoulder) "I'm always going to have a chip on my shoulder. I was taken 24th overall.
There were 23 teams that passed on me."
RB Mark Ingram
(On his getting into a groove today) "The offensive line did a great job getting push on the line of scrimmage.
We were committed to the running game. There was a couple of series there in a row were I got into the flow of
the game. I need to thank my offensive line, receivers, tight ends and full back. They blocked their butt off for
me today."
(On today's game vs. two weeks ago) "I think we had a better gameplan. We came in and learned from our
mistakes the last game both as players and coaches. We came in and had a great week of practice and game
preparation. We didn't have any turnovers. We got two turnovers. That's always huge."
(On if his emotion carried over to this game) "No, It was done with after the game. It's a new week. It's a new
game. I just try to keep my same mentality. That is to run physical and give a spark to my team."
S Jairus Byrd
(On his interceptions coming in chunks) "I guess so. It's been a long time coming. Things were feeling good for
me this week. It took a lot longer than I wanted, but I feel good."
(On if he gets into a zone) "Yes, I think so. I give a lot of credit to our coaches and getting us well prepared.
They do a good job of detailing what looks we are going to get on offense. It's a combination of that and getting
a feel for the game."
(On if this is the best he's played and felt since becoming a Saint) "Yes, I'd say so. I think it might go back to
me feeling good and turning the corner. Now, I need to take care of my body and do the things I need to do."
