New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis was named Community MVP by the National Football League's Players Association for Week 8 after he surprised students at St. Louis King of France School in Metairie on Monday morning with a pizza party and "Child of God" headbands.

Davis received a fine in Week 3 for wearing a headband that read "Man of God" which led to thousands of Saints fans who reached out to Davis showing support following the announcement of the fine, but the kids at St. Louis King of France stood out to him the most. The students created their own handmade "Child of God" headbands out of paper in response to Davis' fine.

Davis, who won his appeal for the fine on Oct. 8, has raised more than $250,000 by selling headbands and donating the proceeds to St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Miss., near his hometown of Brandon. Davis has donated roughly $9,000 to the cause, including the original amount he was fined.
