New Orleans Saints legends, Marine Forces Reserve team up for annual bike giveaway

Bikes distributed to pre-selected kids in celebration of the holidays Tuesday, Dec. 22.

New Orleans Saints legends including Deuce McAlister, Tyrone Hughes and Mel Mitchell and current Saints cornerback Delvin Breaux and tackle Terron Armstead joined local Marines in distributing bikes and toys to 120 pre-selected children at the Saints facility on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

The bikes were purchased by the Saints at Academy Sports and Outdoors and were delivered to the Saints facility by John Fayard Moving and Warehousing. The toys were donated by Toys for Tots.

"Today is the Saints and Marines give back toy drive for the kids in the community," Breaux said.  "It's something great that we do each and every year to give to the kids in the community and give back."

Once the pre-selected kids received their bikes and toys, the event was opened to the public for children to select a toy.  More than 3,500 toys were given to children.
