It's hardly the way anyone at the Saints wanted their last day of training camp at Millsaps College to end.

As a teeming rain pounded down on the three fields available to the Saints, Head Coach Sean Payton and the coaching staff elected to put the team through a one-hour walk-through in the Millsaps College gymnasium.

Payton also moved up this afternoon's workout to 1:30 pm, but with the forecast calling for heavy periods of rain and potential flash floods, the prognosis looks bleak for much outdoor work.

The Saints will depart Millsaps and continue their training camp routine, albeit at their training facility in Metairie, La. beginning on Wednesday when the Houston Texans come to town for two days of joint practices.

RB Deuce McAllister said after this morning's workout that it will be nice to face someone other than the same people each day. "It's a change in routine, which at this point in camp is always welcome."

McAllister was asked if the potential for some skirmishes existed when two teams stacked with rosters of players competing for jobs is on the line. "You would hope everyone will be professional about it," McAllister said. "But at the same time you have guys trying to make names for themselves and catch the coach's eye and attention. Sometimes guys take it a little too far and that's when you see some of that stuff. But hopefully it will be a productive two days of work and everyone gets better. I think that is the goal."
