Paulo will be on the field for his second season this year with the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe. He is ecstatic to have the opportunity to be able to not only grow and learn with and from the Saints organization, but also to showcase his skills in a way that will bring more excitement and entertainment to the Saints gameday experience. Paulo attended local high school Archbishop Rummel where he began to hone his skills. Following graduation, he attended Southeastern Louisiana University where he continued to master his craft as an athlete while studying to receive a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. In his 4-year tenure as a Southeastern Louisiana University cheerleader, he managed to receive not only one, but two bronze medals at UCA College Nationals and he was also a 2-year Captain. He did this all while cheering at football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball games.
College graduation was not the end of cheerleading for him though. Once graduated, Paulo returned to his high school alma mater and began coaching. As a coach at Archbishop Rummel, he helped to lead the team to two bronze Gameday titles, a National Gameday Championship title, and a silver medal in the traditional routine at the NHCSS High School Nationals and an LHSCC State Championship Gameday title in a 3-year tenure. Paulo also coached and continues to coach at Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, LA where he has help lead the team to a fourth place, a silver medal and two National Gameday Championship titles at NHSCC High School Nationals and an LHSCC State Championship Gameday title. He continues to coach at Archbishop Shaw, and he enjoys helping his college Alma Mater Southeastern who has since won a National Gameday Championship title at UCA College Nationals. Paulo is very proud to not only be a part of 2022-2023 New Orleans Saints Cheerleading team but also to help enhance and bring more fun to the Game Day experience in the Caesar's Superdome.
"I am very much excited to be a part of this team and the Saints organization. I look forward to interacting with fans and having the opportunity to bring smiles to many peoples faces while cheering on the Saints. With my aunt being a former Saintsation, having multiple friends who are former Saintsations and a former coach and now colleague be on the cheerleading team back when they had one years ago and NONE of them having a negative thing to say about the experience, I very easily decided that I wanted to be a part of the team. I look forward to the opportunity to make many memories alongside new friends in the Superdome."
