Saints Player, Saintsations spend a day with the SuperStarz

Players, dance team members play game with exceptional athletes

Several members of the New Orleans Saints, the Saintsations and a group of exceptional athletes from Southwestern Louisiana got together on Saturday May 1, at the club's practice facility in Metairie for a day of fun, football, cheering and music.

A group of Saints players, including LB Jonathan Casillas, WR Matt Simon, DE Jeff Charleston, LB Anthony Waters, DT DeMario Pressley and TE Tyler Lorenzen amongst others faced off in a four quarter touch football game against the Beauregard Parish Buddy Ball group, consisting of mentally and physically disabled athletes of all ages. The contest was complete with referees and cheering compliments of the Saintsations and buddies. A halftime show even featured a rendition of the Ying Yang twins' Superdome favorite "Stand up and get crunk."

Following the contest, where the buddies came on top of the group of Saints players, both groups participated in an awards ceremony on the indoor field where the athletes received medals for the their participation and success as well as a multitude of autographs from the Saints representatives present.
