Safety Roman Harper Named Morton's The Steakhouse Community Player of the Week

Harper participated in the Saints’ Progressive Recycling Program

The Morton's The Steakhouse Community Player of the Week announced at the Saints vs. Buccaneers game was Safety Roman Harper for his outstanding efforts in the community.

Harper participated in the Saints' Progressive Recycling Program held in local schools during the season by encouraging students to recycle and care for the environment.

Harper* founded the Harper's Hope 41 Foundation in 2009 to serve the communities that have supported him throughout his life. The mission of the Harper's Hope 4*1 Foundation is to strengthen families and enhance their emo­tional, social and spiritual health through educational programs, enrichment activities, and economic development. The foundation fosters empowerment skills and provides lasting coaching experiences that will help individuals realize their potential, build self-esteem and strive for excellence.

Harper has also teamed up with several teammates to host events to support the United Way of Southeast Louisiana's Hope for the Holidays initiative. This year, with the help of the Epworth Project,, Project Homecoming, IrvingMorris and United Way of Southeast Louisiana, Harper and teammates Lance Moore and Malcolm Jenkins rebuilt four families' homes.
