Ashli Rhodes got the cure for her Saints fever when her non-winning Louisiana Lottery SAINTS FEVER! scratch-off was selected from more than 7,500 second-chance drawing entries to win the 2015 Saints Behind-the-Scenes Prize Package.
The Natchitoches resident along with her husband, Justin, and friends, Kasie and Patrick Couture,* *were treated to a tour of the press box and watched players warm up on the sidelines before the Dec. 6 game against Carolina. The prize package also included four Plaza Club Sideline tickets to the game, hotel accommodations, $500 spending cash and the opportunity to attend the post-game press conference with Head Coach Sean Payton.
"We have season tickets, so I was most excited about getting on the field before the game," said Rhodes. "I almost didn't think I would ever win, so when I actually won, I couldn't wait to call everybody and tell them the news."
The 2015 SAINTS FEVER! $5 scratch-off game features three scenes bearing the Saints fleur de lis logo, game-day action and team memorabilia all emblazoned in shiny gold metallic ink with one top prize of $100,000 remaining.
"We upped our game with this year's experience with prizes that include exclusive access to areas of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and game activities usually off-limits to fans," explained Lottery President Rose Hudson. "When players don't win an instant prize on SAINTS FEVER!, they can use it to enter their favorite second-chance drawing to win a one-of-a-kind experience guaranteed to cure Saints fever!"
Players can still enter their non-winning tickets into the game's fourth and final second-chance drawing to be eligible to win the 2016 Season Prize Package which includes: four Plaza Sideline tickets for the 2016 football season, four pregame field passes for every game, a parking pass and a VIP tour of the Saints practice facility. The winner and three guests will also receive round-trip limo service to the facility in Metairie (or overnight accommodations if the distance exceeds 75 miles) where they will view a team practice and have lunch in the team cafeteria.
To enter the second-chance drawings, players should complete the information on the back of non-winning $5 SAINTS FEVER! scratch-off tickets and mail one ticket per envelope (no larger than 4.5" by 9.5") to the drawing address printed on the back of the ticket. Players can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry should be mailed in a separate envelope.
Also during the Nov. 18 second-chance drawing, the third of the season, nine finalists won official autographed Saints merchandise. Christine B. Waller of Westlake, Ricky D. White of Calhoun and Mike Matthieu of Scott won an autographed Saints jersey. Herbert Provost of New Iberia, Stevie Green of Baton Rouge and Deborah Munday of Dry Prong won an autographed Saints helmet. Jeanette Cooper of Zachary, Christi Arnett of Livingston and Kay A. Bourgeois of Paulina won an autographed Saints football.
