Cameron Jordan and Jerico Nelson Teach About Energy Efficiency

Saints defensive end and safety visited Bridgedale Elementary for a Chevron Energy Efficiency Visit

Saints Defensive End Cameron Jordan and Safety Jerico Nelson spent time at Bridgedale Elementary on October 2, teaching students about the importance of energy efficiency on a school visit presented by Chevron.

During the assembly, students helped Jordan and Nelson identify ways to save energy and live a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle.

"It's important to remember to turn out the lights when you leave a room and do the same with the television," Jordan said. "Those little acts will make a big difference in saving energy."

He also encouraged the students to ride their bikes and walk instead of having their parents or friends drive them where they need to go.

In addition to talking about energy efficiency, Nelson also talked to students about the importance of hard work and staying focused on their studies.

"Even though football as one of my favorite parts of school, I had to work really hard to keep my grades up," Nelson said. "Focus on school and working hard and you'll be successful in the future."
