New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara on Sunday became the fourth player in NFL history to have 500 yards rushing and receiving in his first two seasons. Kamara crossed the milestone in dramatic fashion when he caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
He entered the game needing 27 receiving yards as he already had 546 rushing yards. Kamara finished the game with 37 receiving yards and 71 rushing yards,
The other three players who achieved the feat: Edgerrin James, Herschel Walker, and Abner Haynes.
In his rookie season, Kamara had 826 receiving yards and 728 rushing yards.
The touchdown gave Kamara 15 for the season, the third-highest total in Saints history. With one more Kamara would move into a tie with former Saints tight end Jimmy Graham and running back Deuce McAllister for second all-time.
