The New Orleans Saints Youth Programs Department is dedicated to serving and promoting youth initiatives through highly structured and positive programs designed especially for the youth of the Gulf South region. The New Orleans Saints remain dedicated and committed to the people that comprise the entire Gulf South region and proudly represent the city of New Orleans.
Through charitable outreach and hands on efforts, cause-related initiatives and grass roots programs in the areas of Education, Underprivileged Children and Families, Health and Wellness, Youth Football, and Volunteerism, the Saints strive, and do, consistenly make a difference in the community.
As the region's cornerstone professsional sports franchise, the New Orleans Saints, since the team was purchased by Mr. Benson in 1985, have always been active in the community, as well. Born and raised on New Orleans' east side, Benson has been determined and steadfast in his efforts to give back to his hometown community.
The goal of the Saints' youth programs department is to enhance opportunities and improve the quality of life for children and children in the Gulf South regionby taking active, hands-on leadership positions in health, sportsmanship and education.
The Saints pool the resources of our corporate and non-profit partners with the star power of the Saints' organization and its players, coaches and administrative staff to capture the attention of children, while striving to improve their attitudes about learning and healthy lifestyles; all the while delivering critical services to those school-aged youth who would be difficult to reach without the leverage of the football team.
