Ryan Hollern enters his fourth season as the club’s combine scout, and in his position works for the Saints and the National Scouting Combine. The club is part of the scouting service, and Hollern’s reports on college prospects are shared with other teams that are members.

Hollern joined the Saints in 2008 after serving as coordinator of recruiting operations at Mississippi State from 2006-07. In that position, he worked in the daily operation of the recruiting office, and his responsibilities included coordinating travel, scholarships, admissions, overseeing the video library and working as a liaison with pro scouts. Hollern was promoted after working as an offensive assistant while completing his graduate studies at MSU. In 2004 he was an administrative assistant in the football office during his initial year as a graduate student.

A 2001 graduate of Gannon University, Hollern played quarterback for two years for the Golden Knights. He coached quarterbacks at Harding University HS (Charlotte, N.C.) for one season prior to arriving at Mississippi State.

Hollern, a native of Indiana, Pa., and his wife Keely have a son, Porter and a daughter, Bennett.
