Mike Baugh

Mike Baugh – an experienced member of the player personnel department who is entering his 19th season in the NFL – is responsible for evaluating the college prospects located in the central region of the country. Baugh is in his second stint with the Saints, rejoining the club in 2008 after serving as a pro scout with the club from 2000-04.

From 2005-07, Baugh served as the assistant director of player personnel for the Miami Dolphins. Prior to arriving in Miami, his responsibilities with New Orleans included evaluating free agent prospects, advance scouting of opponents and assisting in yearly draft preparations.

Baugh opened his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks, spending eight years in various capacities. He started as a public relations intern in 1992, served as an administrative assistant to head coaches Tom Flores and Dennis Erickson from 1993-96 and moved to the personnel department in 1997, where he was a scouting assistant. In 1998, Baugh was named manager of football administration for Seattle, and in 1999, his final year with the club, was promoted to assistant director of pro scouting.

Baugh graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in business administration. He and his wife, Christine, have a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Brett.
