Beau Lowery
Director of Rehabilitation

Beau Lowery, who brings 18 years of experience in his field, enters his fifth season with the Saints and second as the club’s director of rehabilitation. He is responsible for treating and rehabilitating players throughout the year as a physical therapist and assistant athletic trainer.

Lowery came to the Saints in 2011 as an assistant athletic trainer/physical therapist after spending two years as a physical therapist/athletic trainer at the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic and helping establish the Elite Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Baton Rouge, La. Lowery served as an associate athletic trainer/physical therapist at Louisiana State University from 2004-10. His primary responsibilities were serving as the physical therapist and athletic trainer for the baseball program during a period when they won one Southeastern Conference title, three conference tournament championships and one College World Series. Lowery also oversaw men’s golf and cheerleading at LSU. While serving as a graduate assistant from 2004-05, he worked with the women’s soccer and gymnastics programs. The Seminary, Miss. native also served as an adjunct professor at LSU for six years.

Lowery graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Following graduation, he worked as a physical therapist at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Miss. While working in Laurel, Lowery finished his athletic training internship at Jones County Junior College and Jones County High School in June,  2000. Lowery then became the outpatient physical therapy coordinator of South Central Regional Medical Center and the athletic trainer for Laurel High School.

Prior to his work at LSU, Lowery worked with the Pittsburgh Steelers for three summers. While a graduate assistant at LSU he earned his master's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in motor behavior. Lowery completed the doctorate of physical therapy program (tDPT) through the University of Mississippi Medical Center in August, 2013. Lowery is also certified in Sports Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists.
