NFL CAREER – This former Northern Illinois standout, who secured a spot on the 2016 53-man roster out of the preseason, spent a significant portion of his first two seasons as a kickoff and punt returner, also seeing action on offense. Lewis has carried five times for 25 yards, caught 17 passes for 192 yards with one touchdown, returned 32 punts for 275 yards (8.6 avg.) and brought back 21 kickoffs for 459 yards (21.8 avg.) in 27 games with one start.

2017 – Played in 15 games and carried twice for 14 14 yards, caught ten passes 116 yards with one touchdown, returned 14 punts for 115 yards and brought back 13 kickoffs for 307 yards. Played in both postseason contests and in the NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Carolina, 1/7/18, had a carry for -4 yards and returned two punts for 17 yards…In season opener at Minnesota, Sept. 11, caught two passes for 52 yards, including a 52-yard grab…Had a career-long eight-yard rush and three receptions for 15 yards at Carolina, Sept. 24…Returned two kickoffs for 57 yards at Green Bay, Oct. 22…Had a 24-yard kickoff return at Tampa Bay, Nov. 5…Returned three kickoffs for 62 yards and two punts for 38 yards in come-from-behind win vs. Washington, Nov. 19…Had two receptions for 30 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown, the first of his career, brought back a kickoff 24 yards and had a miscellaneous tackle at Atlanta, Dec. 7…Had a six-yard carry, returned five punts for 36 yards, brought back a kickoff 24 yards and had a miscellaneous tackle vs. New York Jets, Dec. 17…Returned four punts for 43 yards vs. Atlanta, Dec. 24.  2016 – Finished rookie season with 160 yards with a long runback of 59 on 14 punt returns, while returning eight kickoffs for 152 yards, catching seven passes for 76 yards and adding one special teams tackle in 12 games. After being inactive for the opener, made his regular season debut at New York Giants, Sept. 18, returning two punts for 27 yards…Recorded three receptions for 43 yards vs. Atlanta, Sept. 16…Returned two punts for 63 yards, with a long of 59 and caught two passes for 24 yards, Oct. 16…Returned two punts for 10 yards and a kickoff 26 yards at Kansas City, Oct. 23…Brought back one kickoff for 23 yards vs. Seattle, Oct. 30…Inactive for next three contests before returning to action and starting in a three-wide receiver set vs. Los Angeles Rams, Nov. 27 and rushed once for seven yards, returned two punts for eight yards and brought back a kickoff for 18 yards…Returned one punt for 24 yards and two kickoffs for 26 yards vs. Detroit, Dec. 4…Returned two kickoffs for 40 yards and recorded a special teams tackle at Arizona, Dec. 18.

 

COLLEGE – Played in 48 games at NIU, finishing with 1,680 yards with 11 TDs on 172 receptions and 578 yards with three TDs on 71 rush attempts, while adding 1,673 yards with four TDs on kickoff returns...Ended career with a reception in 37 consecutive games in which he played…Shook off injuries that caused him to miss the entire 2014 season and four games in 2015 to finish out with 34 receptions for 398 yards with three touchdowns in 10 contests as a fifth-year senior…An honorable mention All-American and first-team All Mid-American Conference selection in 2013 when he accounted for 1,405 all-purpose yards on 133 touches…General studies major.
