NFL CAREER – Showing the persistence to jumpstart an NFL career by playing two seasons in the Canadian Football League, where he developed into a pass rushing threat, Hunt has also overtime knee injuries and will compete for playing time on New Orleans’ defensive line rotation for the final six games of the season. Originally an undrafted free agent signing of the Cleveland Browns in 2006 out of Houston, Hunt has appeared in 24 games with Philadelphia and Detroit since 2011 and has posted 22 tackles (20 solo) and four sacks.

2015 – Appeared in two games for the Detroit Lions and recorded seven tackles (six solo) and one sack. 2014 Went to training camp with the Indianapolis Colts. 2013 – Spent the entire season on injured reserve for Philadelphia after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the preseason. 2012 – Played in 13 games in his second season with the Eagles and continued to provide depth along the defensive line as he finished with seven solo tackles, one sack (11 yards) and one tackle for loss. 2011 – In his first NFL season, Hunt played in nine games for the Eagles and totaled eight tackles (seven solo), two sacks, two tackles for loss and four quarterbacks hits as a rotational member of the defensive line…Tabbed his first-career sack against Miami (12/11), bringing down QB J.P. Losman for a safety…Recorded a sack two weeks in a row with a six-yard takedown on Jets QB Mark Sanchez (12/18). 2010 – Led the CFL with 16 sacks, playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. 2009 – Went to training camp with the Cleveland Browns and then joined the Blue Bombers where he made 11 tackles and three sacks.

COLLEGE – Four-year member of the University of Houston Cougars defense where he finished his career as the school’s all-time leader in sacks with 34…Overall in his career, compiled 188 tackles, including 51 tackles for loss, 17 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception…Earned All-Conference USA selections from 2006-08, as well as three Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week awards and an All-Freshman Team choice in 2005…Was the 2008 Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, while finishing second in the nation with 1.08 sacks per game…Led the team in sacks with 10.5 and tackles for loss with 18 as a junior in 2007…Ranked fourth in the conference with eight sacks and led the team with 12 tackles for loss in 2006…Majored in kinesiology and sports administration.

PERSONAL – Two-time first team all-district selection at Dunbar (Texas) High School.
