NFL CAREER – The all-purpose fullback is a veteran of ten NFL seasons with 143 games played and has amassed career totals of 164 rushes for 579 yards and four touchdowns, as well as 57 receptions for 439 yards and four touchdowns. The former Auburn standout – who has had stints with Seattle, Miami and New England – also has 29 tackles on special teams. During his two-year tenure in New Orleans, Evans has shown the versatility that made the former free agent’s signing a priority with rugged lead blocking, 17 catches, three for touchdowns and another score rushing.

Successful comeback from a torn ACL in 2009, resulted in him being voted by his teammates as the club’s recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award. 2009 – Played in six games, with five starts, prior to suffering a torn ACL in right knee in win at Miami, Oct. 25…Finished season with five carries for 16 yards and a TD and 10 receptions for a pair of touchdowns.
