Drafted by the Saints with their seventh round selection in 2011, Romeus has missed his first two seasons, rehabilitating from a torn right anterior cruciate ligament suffered as a senior at Pittsburgh and from a torn left ACL and MCL from the 2012 offseason.

NFL CAREER – Drafted by the Saints with their seventh round selection in 2011, Romeus has missed his first two seasons, rehabilitating from a torn right anterior cruciate ligament suffered as a senior at Pittsburgh and from a torn left ACL and MCL from the 2012 offseason.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Placed on Injured Reserve, 6/25/12; Waived/Injured, 6/22/12; Placed on Injured Reserve, 12/5/11; Placed on Reserve/Non-Football Injury list, 9/3/11; Signed by New Orleans to a four-year contract, 7/28/11; Originally picked by New Orleans in the seventh round (226th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

2012 – Suffered a torn left ACL and MCL in the offseason that required surgery and forced him to be placed on injured reserve. 2011 – Still recovering from a torn ACL suffered his senior year of college, Romeus started the season on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list and was eventually moved to injured reserve as he continued to rehabilitate his injury.

COLLEGE –  One of the Big East conference’s top defensive playmakers his sophomore and junior seasons before back and knee injuries derailed his senior campaign, played in 40 games with 28 starts and finished with 142 tackles (77 solo), 19.5 sacks for minus 129 yards, 38.5 stops for losses, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one interception, 12 passes defensed and four blocked kicks…Was a consensus preseason All-American selection, but was limited to two games as senior and registered seven tackles and one pass defense…Started all 13 games at RDE in 2009 and registered 43 tackles (22 solo), as he led the team and ranked seventh in the conference with eight sacks…Also finished with three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception, five passes defensed and one blocked kick...Conference Co-Player of the Year with teammate Mick Williams…Started all 13 contests at RDE in 2008 and captured second-team All-Big East, totaling career-best 51 tackles (27 solo) as he led team and ranked third in conference with 7.5 sacks…Also posted one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, three pass defenses and three blocked kicks…Played in all 12 games in 2007 and recorded 41 tackles (28 solo), as he finished second on team with four sacks, adding a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses…Named Freshman All-American by several outlets…Redshirted in 2006…Graduated with a communications degree.
