Also added two stops and a forced fumble on coverage units...Finishes fourth in the regular season among New Orleans defensive backs in tackles…Started both postseason contests and recorded seven tackles (five solo) and a pass defensed…Started first game of the season for an injured Jabari Greer at Atlanta, Nov. 21, and posted eight tackles (five solo) and a fumble recovery…Earned seven stops (six solo) in regular season finale vs. Tampa Bay, Dec. 29. 2012 – Appeared in 10 games with four starts as a rookie for the Saints, finishing with 32 tackles (28 solo), an interception and three passes defensed, also contributing four special teams stops…Missed four contests (weeks 11-12, 14-15) due to a knee injury and was placed on Injured Reserve prior to week 16…Started first career NFL contest and posted four solo tackles vs. Washington, Sept. 9…Tallied a season-high six stops (five solo) while starting at left cornerback at Carolina, Sept. 16…Posted three solo tackles and two special teams stops vs. Kansas City, Sept. 23…Registered four tackles (three solo), two passes defensed and his first-career interception on a pass from Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan vs. Atlanta, Nov. 11.
COLLEGE – Appeared in 44 games at defensive back for the Bulldogs, totaling 140 tackles (118 solo), seven interceptions, 18 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one blocked kick…Contributed 58 stops (52 solo), a team-best four interceptions, five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick in 11 games as a senior...Started all 11 games at cornerback and finished with 31 tackles (27 solo), one interception, seven passes defensed and two forced fumbles as a junior in 2010…As sophomore in 2009, appeared in all 11 contests and had 36 tackles (27 solo), two interceptions and three passes defensed…Saw action in all 11 games as a freshman and made 15 stops (12 solo) and three passes defensed…Majored in mathematics.
PERSONAL – Attended Dunwoody (Ga.) HS, where he was named team Most Valuable Player and first-team All-DeKalb County, recording 52 tackles (35 solo), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and one blocked kick…Born May 9, 1990.
