2010 – Played in two games and made three tackles (one solo) and one special teams stop in a season abbreviated by shoulder injury. 2009 – Played in 15 games with first career start and made 11 tackles, one pass defense, one interception, posting a career-high 18 special teams tackles and recovering a fumble on kick coverage…At Philadelphia, Sept. 20, had one tackle, one special teams stop and recovered a fumble on second half’s opening kick, leading to a TD…Tied career-high when he recorded four special teams tackles vs. N.Y. Giants, Oct. 18, and at Washington, Dec. 6…Recorded first career interception when he picked off QB Josh Freeman and had a 33-yard return at Tampa Bay, Nov. 22…Made first NFL start at Carolina, 1/3/10, and had career-high nine tackles in addition to three special teams stops…In Super Bowl XLIV, Feb. 7, made one of the game’s biggest plays when he recovered an onside kick on the opening kickoff of the second half, giving the Saints the ball to acquire their first lead. Also had one special teams tackle. 2008 – Played in 15 games, primarily on special teams...Inactive vs. Minnesota, Oct. 6, with hamstring injury…Had first career sack at Washington, Sept. 14…Forced a fumble that was recovered by Usama Young and led to a TD vs. San Diego, Oct. 26…Had career-high four special teams stops vs. Green Bay, Nov. 24…Saw extended action on defense vs. Carolina, Dec. 28, and had four tackles, adding two on special teams. 2007 – Played in 14 games, primarily on special teams, and made 13 tackles in kick coverage as well as three solo stops as a reserve DB…Signed to active roster Sept. 24 and made NFL debut that night vs. Tennessee…Recorded season-best two special teams stops three times…Saw first extended defensive action at Atlanta, Dec. 10, making three solo tackles.
COLLEGE – Two-year starter at Georgia Tech, totaling 195 tackles, 10 1/2 sacks, three interceptions and 10 pass defenses as he made 24 starts…Started at S as senior and made 84 tackles with two interceptions…Honorable Mention All-ACC at OLB his junior year as he led team with eight sacks among his 70 tackles…Three-time member of ACC All-Academic football team (2003-05)…Received Georgia Tech Academic Excellence Award following senior season…Awarded the Captain's Captain Award and the Total Person Award at Tech's annual Yellow Jacket Celebration…Majored in Management.
