NFL CAREER – After sitting out his rookie season with an Achilles’ injury, Jones will compete for a roster spot. He played one season as a DB at Portland State, transitioning from playing wide receiver at Idaho earlier in his college career.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Placed on injured reserve, 8/14/09; Signed by Saints as a rookie free agent, 5/4/09.

2009 – Missed entire season with an Achilles’ injury suffered in training camp.

COLLEGE – Played one season at Portland State after transferring from the University of Idaho, where he played from 2004-06…As a senior, made 38 tackles and had seven passes defenses and four interceptions, returning one for a TD.
