CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Activated from practice squad, 1/4/12; Signed to practice squad, 9/4/11; Waived, 9/3/11; Agreed to terms, 7/28/11; Chosen by New Orleans (243rd overall) of 2011 NFL Draft.

2011 – After spending the entire regular season on the practice squad, was signed to the active roster for the postseason and saw special teams action in NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Detroit, 1/7/12…Inactive for NFC Divisional Playoff at San Francisco, 1/14/12…In the preseason, recorded six tackles (five solo), one interception, one pass defense, one forced fumble and one assisted special teams stop.

COLLEGE – In four years at Illinois, he posted 156 stops (96 solo), 1.5 sacks, one interception, five pass defenses, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one blocked punt, starting the final 18 games of his career… Started all 13 games at Sam linebacker as senior when he was an All-Big Ten honorable mention selection as he finished second on team with 83 tackles (48 solo) and third with 8.5 tackles for losses and tied for the Big Ten lead with three fumble recoveries and added one interception, two pass defenses and one blocked punt…Played in all 12 games and started five as a junior, when he totaled 43 tackles (30 solo), including a half sack and an assisted stop for a loss…Played in all 12 games as a sophomore and started opener at S as he recorded 21 tackles (12 solo) and two pass defenses…Played in all 13 games primarily on special teams and finished with nine tackles (five solo)…Majored in Communications
