Also posted a career-high seven tackles (five solo) and added one special teams stop. Also responsible for allowing a key first-quarter goal line stand by the defense as he tackled WR Antwaan Randle El at the goal line on a potential TD catch…Made two tackles, including a 14-yard sack of QB Jimmy Clausen and added a special teams stop at Carolina, Nov. 7…Made one special teams tackle in NFC Wild Card Playoff at Seattle, 1/8/11. 2009 – Played in five games and recorded eight tackles (seven solo), 0.5 sack and five special teams tackles…Placed on injured reserve, Nov. 23, following season-ending shoulder injury…Made three special teams tackles vs. Detroit, Sept 13…Made four tackles and combined with Roman Harper on a sack of QB Josh Freeman, along with a special teams stop at Tampa Bay, Nov. 22, before he was forced to leave the game with a shoulder injury. 2008 – Appeared in 16 games total for Redskins and Saints, recording 13 tackles (eight solo), four pass defenses and career-high 19 special teams stops…Appeared in nine games with Washington and recorded nine tackles with two pass  defenses, along with 11 special teams stops before being waived, Nov. 8…After being claimed off waivers by the Saints, appeared in seven games and had four tackles (three solo), two passes defensed and eight special teams stops…Played extensively in nickel package vs. Atlanta, Dec. 7 and had season-high three tackles along with two special teams stops. 2007 – Played in all 16 games for first time as member of Redskins…Finished with a career-high in tackles (33), solo tackles (24) and added a sack…Had career-best six tackles and a special teams stop in first career start at NY Giants, Dec. 16…Recorded first career sack at Minnesota, Dec. 23…Appeared in first career playoff game at Seattle, 1/5/07, and finished with a team-best three special teams stops, two tackles and a pass defense.  2006 – Spent training camp with Atlanta before being released and signed to active roster of Redskins for season finale. 2005 – After being released by Green Bay prior to start of season, appeared in 10 games for Falcons…Originally signed by Atlanta, Sept. 4 and inactive for two contests before being waived, Sept. 20…After spending three weeks on the practice squad, re-signed to active roster, Oct. 11, where he remained for rest of season…Made NFL debut at Saints, Oct. 16.

COLLEGE – Attended Stanford, where he was a four-year letterman in football and a two-year letterman in track…Totaled 11 career interceptions…Led all cornerbacks with 64 tackles and 11 passes defensed in 2003 and named first-team Academic All-Pac 10…Competed in the 100, 200 and 4x100 meter relay from 2001-02…Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science major and African American Studies minor.

PERSONAL – Attended Marist (Atlanta, Ga.) HS, where he lettered in football, track and tennis…Captured state tennis title as freshman and sophomore…Active in the community throughout his career…In 2006, started the Southwest Atlanta Youth Foundation (SWAY), supported by his website,  www.leightorrence.com, which supports initiatives in his hometown and the New Orleans area…Spearheaded an effort with Saints secondary to help fund football program at Sojourner Truth Middle School.
