The Saints added Keyunta Dawson to the roster in week six of the 2013 season to add experience and veteran leadership to the club’s outside linebacker corps. Prior to joining the Saints, he appeared in two games for the Tennessee Titans on their defensive line and on special teams. In six games with the Saints he posted four tackles (two solo), half a sack and one forced fumble. He spent his first four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts after initially entering the NFL as a seventh-round pick in 2007. In addition to his stints with the Titans in 2012 and 2013, the Shreveport native and former Texas Tech standout also spent three weeks during the 2011 campaign with the Detroit Lions.

2013 – Appeared in two games for Tennessee Titans on defense and special teams and recorded no stats and then, after being picked up by New Orleans, appeared in six games and recorded four tackles (two solo), half a sack and one forced fumble. Missed final five regular season games and first postseason contest with calf injury. Returned to play in NFC Divisional Playoff at Seattle, 1/11/14, and posted four tackles (two solo)….Made Saints debut at New England, Oct. 13, and recorded one tackle…Split a sack with OLB Parys Haralson and forced a key fumble that was recovered by CB Corey White at Atlanta, Nov. 21. 2012 – Played in the first three games of the season as a reserve DE for Tennessee and registered five tackles before being placed on Reserve/Injured. 2011 – Spent three weeks on Detroit Lions 53-man roster and played in two games, posting one tackle. 2010 – Played in all 16 games for Indianapolis, backing up Dwight Freeney...Recorded 17 solo tackles and one fumble recovery...Against Kansas City, Dec. 10, recovered one fumble and posted two tackles...Saw action as a reserve in NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. N.Y. Jets, 1/8/11. 2009 – Played in 12 games, including two starts for Indianapolis...Recorded 14 tackles…Saw action in all three playoff contests as a reserve...Vs.
