NFL CAREER – Originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as a college free agent out of Rutgers in 2011, Freeny joined the Saints in week 15, providing a veteran presence at the club’s linebacker corps and on special teams. The Margate, Fla.. native has played in 66 career games with 11 starts and has recorded totals of 70 tackles (44 solo), one sack, two passes defensed, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 31 special teams stops over six seasons, including stints with the Dolphins, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2017, he played in four games with Baltimore and New England and made two solo tackles and two solo special teams stops. A seasoned veteran who has also appeared in two career postseason contests  and has posted three solo tackles and one fumble recovery, Freeny brings additional veteran presence to the Saints linebackers and special teams units.
