NFL CAREER – Ingram comes to New Orleans midseason to take over the long snapping duties after spending a season-and-a-half as the snapper for the New England Patriots. A sixth-round draft choice out of Hawaii in 2009, Ingram snapped for the Patriots for 24 regular-season games and one playoff contest and made two tackles on special teams.

 

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Signed by Saints, 11/20/10; Waived by New England Patriots, 11/10/10; Signed by New England, 7/29/09; Selected by New England in the sixth round (198th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

2010 – Played in eight games for New England as their long snapper before being waived Nov. 10. 2009 – Played in all 16 games as a rookie, snapping on all punts and kicks and made two tackles on special teams…Made first career special teams tackle at Denver, Oct. 11…Also had a tackle at New Orleans, Nov. 30…Snapped in the Patriots’ AFC Wild Card game against Baltimore, Jan. 10.

 

COLLEGE – Began his college career at Hawaii as a defensive end but switched to long snapper during his freshman season of 2005 for then-head coach June Jones…Walked on to the team and played nine games as a reserve defensive end, making four tackles as a freshman…Started long snapping in his fourth college game.

 

PERSONAL – Attended Mililani (Hawaii) HS, where he was a two-year letterman in football and lettered in track one season…Was a member of the all-league team as a senior…Younger brother Luke is a long snapper at Hawaii…Majored in economics at UH…Jacob Ingram was born Oct. 23, 1985 in Albuquerque, N.M..
