NFL CAREER – Entering his fourth season with the club, the New Orleans native who suffered a serious neck injury as a high school senior that did not allow him to play college football, Breaux first had to play in several other professional leagues. Since signing with New Orleans in 2015, Breaux has made the most of his opportunity as a starter, opening all 22 games he’s played in, totaling 73 tackles (58 solo), three interceptions, 24 passes defensed, and a fumble recovery.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS –  Placed on Injured Reserve, 9/04/17; Placed on Injured Reserve, 12/23/16; Signed by Saints to a three-year contract, 1/27/15.

Placed on Injured Reserve, 9/04/17. 2016- Opened all six games, he played in, overcoming a fibula injury that held him out of six contests from Weeks Two-Eight…He posted 24 tackles (20 solo) and a pass defensed…In the opener vs. Oakland, Sept. 11, he started and saw action on special teams. Left the game with a leg injury…After missing six games with a fibula injury, returned to the field and recorded two solo tackles at San Francisco, Nov. 6…Inactive (fibula) at Carolina, Nov. 17…Posted three tackles (two solo), playing a key role in a defensive effort that only surrendered 178 net yards passing vs. Los Angeles, Nov. 27…Achieved a career-high nine tackles (career-high seven solo) vs. Detroit, Dec. 4….Recorded four solo tackles and one pass defensed and suffered a shoulder injury at Tampa Bay, Dec. 11…Inactive (shoulder) at Arizona, Dec. 18…Placed on Injured Reserve (shoulder), Dec. 23. 2015 – Made all 16 starts in his first NFL season, recording 49 tackles (38 solo), a team-high three interceptions and 23 passes defensed, and a fumble recovery. Voted by his teammates as the club’s 2015 Ed Block Courage Award Winner, which is given annually to a player from each NFL team who’s persevered through adversity. He was also one of five players on the defense who started all 16 games…Made his NFL debut in opener at Arizona, Sept. 13, finishing with six tackles (four solo), a pass defensed and a fumble recovery. Became first Saints CB to start in his NFL debut since Tracy Porter in 2008…Recorded three tackles (one solo) and two passes defensed at Carolina, Sept. 27…Recorded first career interception at Philadelphia, Oct. 11. Also tallied five solo tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defensed…Recorded two solo tackles and a career-high three passes defensed at Indianapolis, Oct. 25…At Washington, Nov. 15, finished with four tackles (three solo) and two passes defensed…Vs. Carolina, Dec. 6, posted one solo tackle, one 22-yard interception return and two passes defensed before departing the contest (hamstring)…Recorded five tackles (one solo) and one pass defensed at Tampa Bay, Dec. 13…Tallied four solo tackles, his third career interception and a career-high-tying three passes defensed vs. Jacksonville, Dec. 27…In season finale at Atlanta, 1/3/16, registered an assisted tackle. Left game (ankle) and did not return. 2012-14 – Played two seasons for the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In two seasons, recorded 62 tackles, one sack, one interception returned for a touchdown, 10 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery…Also played for the Arena Football League’s New Orleans VooDoo in 2013 and started his professional career in 2012 with the Louisiana Bayou Vipers in the Gridiron Developmental Football League.

HS as a junior in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina…Visited Woodlake Elementary School in Mandeville in 2016 to read to the students and participate in a pizza party as part of the Domino’s Pizza reading program…Has participated in multiple community events, including serving as a celebrity judge during New Orleans Entrepreneurship week, a visit to the KIPP New Orleans Leadership Academy on behalf of Chevron U.S.A.’s “Fuel Your School” program, which helps fund materials and supplies for local public schools and attending a fundraiser in 2016 to support construction of the St. Tammany Parish Children’ Museum…Collaborated with Chase Daniel to host a charity softball game in June to support Son of a Saint and Team Gleason…Born Oct. 25, 1989 in New Orleans, La.
