Bud Adams passed away at his home Monday morning in Houston

New Orleans Saints

Tennessee Titans/Oilers founder and owner K.S. “Bud” Adams, Jr. passed away peacefully from natural causes at his home Monday morning in Houston. He was 90 years old.

Statement from New Orleans Saints Owner/Chairman of the Board Tom Benson on Bud Adams:

“I have enjoyed a long relationship with Bud Adams and I have respected him not only as an owner but also as a friend for many years. He was an original and our league is better because of him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the entire Tennessee Titans organization.”

Statement from New Orleans Saints Owner/Vice Chairman of the Board Rita Benson LeBlanc on Bud Adams:

“Bud Adams was a Texas gentleman. His affection and humor will be greatly missed. I feel privileged to have known such a pioneer of our game. He had a lasting impact on the National Football League and because of his vision our league benefits today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the entire Tennessee Titans organization.”
