New Orleans Saints vs. Jets, first-quarter update: Saints 7, Jets 3

First-quarter update:  Saints quarterback Drew Brees hit tight end Jimmy Graham with a 51-yard touchdown pass down the right sideline to give the Saints a 7-3 lead over the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets scored on a 39-yard Nick Folk field goal after linebacker Demario Davis picked off a Brees pass.

The Saints had a nice opening drive that ended when kicker Garrett Hartley missed a 43-yard field-goal attempt wide left.

Darren Sproles left the game and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Key stats: Drew Brees, 12 of 17, 148 yards, one TD, one pick; Jimmy Graham, three catches for 62 yards, 1 TD. Jets, Geno Smith, 2 of 6, 6 yards; Chris Ivory, two carries for 25 yards.
