New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys series history

A look at the history behind the Saints and Cowboys last 25 meetings

Dallas leads the series, 15-10, though New Orleans has won seven of the last eight meetings, including a dramatic 34-31 overtime victory on December 23, 2012. The Cowboys won 8 of 10 from 1973-1994 and 13 of the first 16 meetings between the two clubs. Nine games in the series have been decided by a touchdown or less, five contests by three or less, including the 2011 overtime victory by New Orleans. The Saints have a 5-3 record in contests played at the Superdome. The Saints recorded the lone shutout in the series, a 28-0 home win on Sept. 10, 1989 where New Orleans held Dallas to 20 rushing yards on 10 attempts. A look back at the results in the series:
