Shipman transferred to Central Florida from Florida in 2010 where he played guard for the Gators basketball team for two years. He appeared in 68 games with one start, averaging 3.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
What’s been your biggest challenge with being an undrafted rookie?
“The biggest challenge I would say has been being new to the game and that next level. Just being a rookie all over again, in college I was a captain and leading the team. Now I’m starting over and being that young guy and getting used to the speed of the game. It’s not that hard.”
What veteran have you learned from the most?
“I’d say all of them. I learn from every veteran here. I can’t say that I’ve picked up a lot from just one. I feel like I have an advantage from looking at all of the veterans and seeing what the do and what they’ve been doing to get to where they are now. “
What has been your favorite part about the city so far?
“The food, to tell you the truth. I love the food down here.”
What’s been your favorite dish?
“Everything is so good. I love the fried catfish and shrimp etouffee.”
What is your pregame meal?
“Anything healthy. I don’t have a specific one just anything healthy with some carbs and electrolytes.”
