Fumble gives Dolphins an easy fumble

Mark IngramNew Orleans Saints at Miami Dolphins first quarter update:The Dolphins were able to take a 10-7 lead over the Saints on Thursday night as they turned a Mark Ingram fumble into a 33-yard field goal with 59 seconds to play in the period at Sun Life Stadium.

The Saints struck first when backup quarterback Luke McCown was able to capitalize on the presence of a handful of starters to lead the Saints on a 14-play, 75-yard touchdown drive capped by running back Mark Ingram's 8-yard touchdown.

Miami scored on a 8-yard touchdown pass from Pat Devlin to Dion Sims.

The Dolphins got the ball right back when Ingram fumbled on the Saints' 14-yard line after he leaped to avoid a defender. Tristan Okpalaugo recovered the fumble. Miami's offense couldn't move the ball and had to settle for a Caleb Sturgis field goal.

Key stats: Saints - Luke McCown, 4 of 7, 44 yards. Mark Ingram, six carries for 30 yards, 1 TD, 1 fumble. Dolphins - Pat Devlin, 4 of 8 for 42 yards, 1 TD.
