Thomas Morstead has a new look and it’s for a good cause.

The Pro Bowl punter shaved his head and beard Saturday afternoon in support of the annual St. Baldrick's Foundation fundraiser at Finn McCool's Irish Pub in New Orleans.

Morstead donated his hair to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1981.

The Saints punter was one of more than 50 people that cut their hair at the event and helped raise more than $100,000 for the fundraiser.

Former Saint Steve Gleason and Saints Special Teams Coordinator Greg McMahon attended the event.

“I was nervous about it but glad to do it,” Morstead said. “This past week there was a huge uproar of support and we raised a lot of money which is all going to children’s cancer research.”

Morstead’s fiancée Lauren cut off his first lock of hair while NOLA barber Aidan Gill finished the job. It was Morstead’s first full haircut since May, 2010.
