The New Orleans Saints (0-3) will go back on the road to battle the Green Bay Packers (1-2) in a week four meeting at Lambeau Field on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. CST.

The Saints will be looking to get in the win column for the first time in 2012 following a 27-24 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Saints had taken a 24-6 third quarter lead on a six-yard touchdown pass from QB Drew Brees to FB Jed Collins, which was the signal-caller’s third scoring throw of the day. However, the Chiefs would respond 18 seconds later with a 91-yard touchdown run by RB Jamaal Charles. While it would be the only touchdown that Kansas City would score in the game, the Chiefs would add four more field goals, including the game-winner in overtime, aided by a fourth quarter safety on a sack of Brees in the fourth quarter.

“What we need to do is continue on course, keep our building together, keep our locker room together and work as a team, work as individuals to get better and collectively to get better,” said offensive line/running game coach Aaron Kromer, who is handling coaching duties for the club for the first six regular season games. “There were many situations in the game that we stopped or made plays, defensively stopped a play or offensively made a play and then in critical situations did not, so what we need to do is find an answer for those situations and why that didn’t happen at that particular time.”

The Packers fell 14-12 at the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football on a stunning touchdown as time expired. The Saints will be facing a stingy Packers defense that surrendered only 238 net yards and is ranked third in the NFL, first against the pass.

Sunday’s matchup will feature two of the most successful teams in the NFC over the past six seasons. New Orleans has posted a 62-37 record since 2006 with a Super Bowl XLIV crown. The Packers have enjoyed a 64-35 mark during that period, capturing the Super Bowl title the following year.

In addition to putting an end to the three-game losing streak, the Saints will be looking to avenge a 42-34 loss to Green Bay at Lambeau Field in last season’s NFL kickoff contest. With one touchdown pass on Sunday, Brees will tie an NFL record with a scoring throw in his 47th consecutive game, tying a record that has been held by Johnny Unitas for over 50 years.

In the all-time series, the Saints have a 7-15 record against the Packers, but they have won two of the last three meetings between the clubs, including a 34-27 win on September 17, 2006, their only win at Lambeau Field in four tries.
