New Orleans Saints right guard
The honor marks Evans’ fourth consecutive appearance. It’s the first time Morstead has earned all-pro honors and he is the first Saints punter in team history to earn Associated Press all-pro honors.
Evans, Morstead and QB
Evans, originally a fourth round draft pick of the Saints in 2006 out of Bloomsburg, has opened all 112 games at right guard since entering the starting lineup in 2006. Evans' starting streak is the most consecutive contests started by a Saint to open a career and currently tied for the fifth-longest streak of games started among active NFL players. In 2012, the Saints offensive line surrendered only 26 sacks, tied for the NFL’s third fewest total, while blocking for an offense that ranked second in the NFL in net yards per game (410.9) and third in points per game (28.8).
Morstead, the team’s fifth round draft pick in 2009, finished the 2012 season tied for the NFL’s best net punting yards average (43.2) and finished second in gross punting yards average (50.1).
