GAMEDAY ENTERTAINMENT INFORMATION
Friday, August 17, 2012/7 pm CT (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)
Fans can begin to enter the Mercedes-Benz Superdome starting at 5 pm. and Champions Square opens at 4 pm. Superdome garages will open at 2 pm. General parking is available in Garage 1-A and Champions Garage.
Saints fans should plan for enhanced security at the Superdome this season.
This season, in accordance with enhanced security screening mandated by the NFL, security personnel will scan patrons with hand-held metal-detecting wands at ALL entrance gates. Pat downs will no longer be performed. All other security measures will remain in place.
Because of the changes, fans should arrive EARLY and allow for extra time to enter the stadium.
Additionally, because of streetcar construction at the corner of Poydras Street and Loyola Ave., patrons expecting to cross this intersection before or after the game may experience traffic delays. This construction does not directly affect any roads or entrances on Superdome property. As with all games, NOPD officers will be directing traffic around the perimeter of the building.
