New Orleans Saints defensive end visited Fannie C. Williams Charter School on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to promote the importance of education and good behavior.
Hicks was meet at the entrance of the school by the Marching Warriors and cheerleading squad and escorted to the gymnasium where second through eighth grade students were waiting.
Fannie C. Williams participated in a Saints Junior Training Camp a few weeks ago and director of youth programs Jason Trosclair wanted to reward their good behavior with a school visit from a player. Hicks interacted with students by asking them questions and then giving the students the chance to question him.
He stressed to students the advantage of attending such a great school and gave them advice on how to get involved in extracurricular activities.
“Not everyone gets to go to a beautiful school like Fannie C. Williams with all the amenities to further your education and do the things important to you in your life,” Hicks said.
