Posted Jul 16, 2014

NewOrleansSaints.com will showcase one reason a day to get excited about the start of the 2014 New Orleans Saints Training Camp presented by Verizon. Today, No. 10 Kenny Vaccaro

Second-year safety Kenny Vaccaro's role is expected to increase with the departures of veteran safeties Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins.

Along with Vaccaro, first-year Saint and Pro Bowler Jairus Byrd, Rafael Bush, Marcus Ball, and rookies Vinnie Sunseri, Pierre Warren and Ty Zimmerman make up the safety group.

Vaccaro appeared in 14 games, totaled 92 tackles (60 solo), one sack, one interception and six pass defenses during the 2013 season. The team’s 2013 first-round draft choice from Texas, suffering a season-ending ankle injury in the club’s 17-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 8.
