Keenan Lewis was signed this offseason as an unrestricted free agent from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The New Orleans native and O. Perry Walker graduate returns home to join the Saints secondary.

The Oregon State product appeared in 45 games with 17 starts during his four-year career with the Steelers, registering 111 tackles (95 solo), one interception, 34 passes defensed and one forced fumble.

In 2012, Lewis recorded 78 tackles (63 solo), an NFL-leading 28 passes defensed and one forced fumble for the NFL’s top-ranked defense both overall and against the pass.
Lewis joins established veterans Jabari Greer and Patrick Robinson in the cornerback rotation along with second-year player Corey White.

Coach Sean Payton on Lewis (May 23, 2013):
“He has good burst, he’s smart, has good length and he can run.”
